Nature in the raw

I came in from a busy afternoon planting bulbs. and, when I sat down in my chair overlooking the garden, I saw this Sparrow Hawk swoop down on an unsuspecting pigeon. An amazing sight and It was over in a second and I watched as it quickly plucked its feathers. Not a brilliant shot as it was tucked down the alley way but at least I managed to capture it. I haven’t seen it in the garden before but I will certainly look out for it now. At last it was a sunny day with a light wind and I got a lot done in the garden.
