Forteas

We've been out and about this morning ticking off some of those jobs which sit in the corner of the living room forever until the time is right.  I packed up a china teaset, brought down from the loft before it was boarded out and put feelers out for anyone who would like it.  A neighbour on our WhatsApp group suggested a couple of 'nostalgic' cafes locally who might use them and I contacted one a few weeks ago.   Today we took the set over to Haworth to Forteas Tearoom (get it?) and handed it over in exchange for free cuppas.  Whilst we enjoyed our very nice tea from a large teapot in a knitted teacosy and in china cups, we had a look around the tearoom which the owner welcomed us in to as her 'living room'.  Certainly, the photos are all of her past family members.

From Haworth, we drove to Sainsburys to pick up the ingredients for beetroot chutney which Tony will be making this afternoon from the harvested beetroot and Bramley apples.  Then we were on to Hobbler friend N's house as hubby A has kindly agreed to wipe the drives of our old laptops so we can take them for recycling.  So a little more room made in our small house and without having to chuck things in the bin, a result.
