I guess it was inevitable…

…our wonderful, reliable Sunbeam electric frypan gave up the ghost last night. It was a wedding present 53 years ago and had never missed a beat. Notice the 1970’s orange lid.. Last night, doing a slow braise, it was impossible to adjust the temperature which was stuck on HIGH!!!! Needless to say it was a quick braise!!
I guess 53 years is a pretty good run. Hey - our marriage has lasted that long (so far) ;-)))
