One from yesterday

Lots of rain today so I didn't take any pictures.

The day started with a 'round the table' difficult conversation with JC and No.1.  I'm not sure of the whole story and there are lessons to be learned and changes to be made but we will find a way through.  JC left around 10.30 as he was going to a gig with friends tonight (sad that No.1 does not have the energy reserves to go too).

No.1 was expecting a school friend to visit so I sent OH to tesco to get some nice cakes but they turned up with a plant and big box of shortbread so he had a wasted journey but as Tesco still had 25% discount on wine it was not entirely wasted!!  It was good to see J and her mum and baby G who is now 18 months old and toddling and chatting and full of energy.  We were exhausted when they left and had a quiet time reflecting and enjoying a bowl of soup (first of the batch from the freezer).

OH was at football (his team won) so No.1 and I had a trip to the Range and George - a few purchases made and a few bits to go back.

I cooked a delicious pork fillet stuffed with apples and prunes (bit of a faff but very tasty) but as there was lots of sport on TV No.1 and I sat on my bed and watched a film on my ipad although both fell asleep before it was half way through!  We will have the remote control tomorrow night.
