Chocolate terra cotta warrior filled with chocolate mousse, served with caramelized bananas and ginger ice cream.

I had a fantastic birthday dinner at Jose Andres's China Poblano where this was my somewhat over-the-top dessert. After dinner, we went to see Billy Idol (whose biggest hits are from around the year of my birth) in concert. Doing all of this in Vegas seemed an appropriate way to turn 40.
