Shadow Play

What a wild and blustery day! Early morning saw a blue sky which quickly gave way to stormy clouds. It grew very dark and then came the rain, soon torn away by strong winds.

There have been a few breaks in the cloud though and during one of these I noticed the strong shadows thrown from a wooden chair in the garden. I like the powerful shapes and lines which seem more prominent without colour to distract the eye. I'm thinking of using it as the start point for a painting.

Working again (business paperwork mostly today) with the tennis on in the background - Andy Murray is through to the Queen's Club quarter finals.
