Female Goosanders

After my two jabs I headed to the supermarket to do some shopping for sis and although it was still fairly gloomy (9am) I nipped along to the Heritage Park. 

Not too many people around at that early hour but I did spot a female goosander making her way down to one of the booms that stretch across the loch.  She joined her pal and they did some synchronised preening. Unfortunately the birds were too far away to get a very clear photo but I did like the red legs.
I could go back tomorrow but the chances are that they will have gone.

Really quite cold today but the wind has dropped and we even had a few brief spells of sunshine this afternoon.
