Autumn leaves.

Much better day, even had some sunshine which was shining on the beech tree.
The wind and rain have meant a lot of the leaves have come down. This year they haven’t changed colour as usual. Maybe because of the unusual weather we have had this autumn.

I have the Christmas cakes in the oven at the moment.The kitchen smells wonderful.

Had some bad news this morning. One of our oldest friends, who we have known since 1960, has just been diagnosed with leukaemia and starts chemo on Monday.
It just makes you realise you have to make the most of every day.
I do hope all goes well for her.
