An ordinary life....

Trouble's back in town...

Jordan messaged this morning to say he, Alan and Ally would leave Filey earlier than planned to try and avoid the worst of the rain on the journey home.

Meanwhile D and L took the girls into the pool since there was no urge to to out in the horrible weather.  We had strong winds and rain overnight but think we missed the worst of Storm Babet.

While the girls were in the pool S and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and had coffee and bagels.  Very civilised.

After lunch L and the girls went into the garden to look for the secret apple tree (we didn't know we had an apple tree until they discovered it last year!) and sure enough there it was, full of apples.  They gathered 12 of them then raced indoors as the heavens suddenly opened again.  Might make apple crumble with them.

Alan arrived back just before 3pm.  He was full of the joys and said he had a great holiday.  Ally and Jordan were full of praise for the accommodation and the area so I think we will definitely look into going as a family and taking Alan's pal Andrew.

Some drawing with the girls then an easy dinner....takeaway.  Pizzas for everyone apart from L who had a curry followed by another lazy evening.  Lola and Lily have been playing bitey face then cuddling, Faith built a den, Anna continued with her drawing and the rest of us did great impressions of couch potatoes.

Poor D had caught L and Faiths cold.  Of course it's not a cold as far as he's concerned but manflu.  Oh joy.
