Dochgarroch Lock
We started the day with a big cooked breakfast, then went to stock up with supplies for our trip. We finished that slightly ahead of schedule so dropped by Ness Islands (where Cyclops' grandparents used to take him as a child) to stretch our legs for a bit. The Ness was running quickly and the autumn colours were beautiful.
Then it was time to go and pick up our boat for the week from Caley Cruisers. We got our wee induction session, loaded up our things, and set out. There is still a gusty wind here so conditions were a little tricky at times, and we were glad to stop for the night at Dochgarroch Lock. We'll see in the morning if the wind has dropped enough for us to head out across Loch Ness.
Once safely moored up, we had a wee explore ashore and grabbed a Hot Chocolate from the Cafe. We had a big family game of Ticket to Ride (CyclopsJnr played excellently and came a close second) before dinner, after which CyclopsJnr was exhausted and wanted to go straight to bed.
