Bearded Tits

What an amazing way to spend our wedding anniversary.

We arrived early at RSPB Leighton Moss in a howling gale not expecting to see much due to the conditions. We couldn’t have been more wrong, We arrived at the grit trays to find only 2 other people there and saw the male & female bearded tits within 10 minutes. The male then came back twice more during the hour we were there. The light was awful so the ISO is much too high but I was just thrilled to see these birds which have been on my bucket list for so long.
