Another Minky day - first time for ages. My, how she has grown, with her little leather jacket and Dr Martens. And much chatter. Off we went for a trip round the Botanics, though what she wanted to do more than anything was to poke a stick in the pond outside Inverleith House and try and fish out pond weed and leaves. And then cook them over pretend hobs. For me to eat. Yum yum. That could have gone on for some time….
Home and before long we were off again - her first trip to the Theatre - to see Stick Man! Not so many people in the bar as usual…
And it was terrific to see her quickly getting into the panto tropes, A “dog” ran across the stage behind the woman as she was looking for it everywhere. Behind you! The apoplexy! She pointed and shouted. What larks. Ah, simple fun. A great intro and something hopefully we can do a lot more when kids stuff comes. Not like the SK’s parents who got free tickets for The Dolls House and took her along believing it was for children. Simpler times. 
Later to the DigDogs. Plenty on the agenda. Was the hospital strike Israeli or Palestinian? Snap poll. Two needed more info. Four said Palestinian. One said the whole thing was a conspiracy, so basically Israel. I had to bring out the yellow cards.
