A helping hand

...for learning how to insert IVs. Really a helping arm, and it looked more realistic from above. Real fake blood, too! Very educational. I was back at the Fairfax campus today for class. Back tomorrow for more. 

Home in time make some chicken salad and a batch of muffins, these being Very Healthy oatmeal buckwheat flour applesauce. I think they'd improve with some candied ginger and a little molasses. D liked them and polished up the kitchen afterwards, as well he should. W got good feedback on his solar paper. 

Extras: pretty spots around the garden, including apricot lemonade cosmos (they're pretty but the plants are a little wimpy, I think). Focusing on flowers hides the fact that much of the garden's weedy and neglected. :-)
