Light Up

Today's job was rigging the lights for the school play. It's a mixture of my own gear and a few hired lanterns - which took a ridiculously long time to pick up due to a broken down lorry down towards Leith... The normally busy Friday afternoon traffic was reduced to a standstill.

Heading back and determined to grab an oasis of lunch by the sea with No.1, I was getting more than a little stressed at the diminishing time. A cancelled evening commitment released me in more ways than one and I got back and gave myself fully to the rigging with more than a little peace and enthusiasm.

With various other rigging jobs to fit it, and the arrival of the hired radio mics at 11pm, it was a marathon tech session that saw us leaving for home at 12:40am. I'm not sure No.1 has been up this late before but she has been an absolute star today!
