Pressure Washed

Drove up to Inverness early evening.  We passed through the edges of the storm, with some pretty high winds and heavy rain.  The bikes got thoroughly pressure washed.  

In the end we made pretty good time, and the biggest delay was diverting round an accident on Queensferry Road before we even got out of town.  At one point he A9 was closed and it looked like we might have a diversion of well over an hour, but it was clear again by the time we got to the relevant section.

That meant we arrived in time for delicious Tapas in Inverness tonight!

After our experience in Aberdeen a year or so back, I was back out to the car after we checked in to apply a heavy duty lock from wheel to frame on each bike, and lock them all together with a steel cable too.  Hopefully, in combination with the locks built into the racks, this will keep them safe overnight for us...
