Chipping
I had been worried about one of our silver birch trees. It was a self-seed, growing in a bad place, causing it to lean to the light. The two trees are about 30' high after 40 years in the garden and are interfering with TV reception.
Today a local tree surgeon came to take out the leaning one and to remove some branches from the other.
When that was all done we went to afternoon tea in the village hall with our Social Club members.
Tonight we had a service for bereaved parishioners to light candles. I was asked if I would read out a piece of prose entitled Grief Comes In Waves.
