Brimham Rocks

Given the recent weather, I was fully prepared for rain, today, for a walk out with Chris and Steve, starting from - and finishing at - Pateley Bridge. As it turned out, I'd have been better off packing my shorts; it was a beautiful day with a clear, blue sky.

One unexpected bonus was that our walk took us past Brimham Rocks, which I'd never seen or, indeed, heard of before. We wandered up to take a look at these fantastic structures, although I couldn't escape the notion that they were about to topple over.

All in all, it was a wonderful walk, out along the Nidd to the rocks and then back: sunny weather, great company, and a picnic lunch. Perfect!

In the evening, we wandered into Pateley Bridge for a couple of pints before going back to Harefield Hall, where we were staying, for dinner.
