Bottlebrush and lilac

IsbiJG’s mother gave me this lilac years ago. It has survived moving a few times from one garden to the next and this year is putting on a good display. Nearby is a small callistemon “Taree Special” which is having its first flowers. 

In the extras is a little plant I liked the look of but didn’t know its name. Can anyone help out? 

I’m exhausted. After some gardening and planting the last of the plants I bought on Saturday I pressure cleaned the front porch. It took ages. Bob moved the pots around for me which were too heavy. I have been meaning to do it for about 10 years, was in an awful state. Now it’s better but still looks pretty grotty. Then I recoated the garden bench seat with the oil / paint I bought on Saturday. 

Then I walked around the block and could hardly put one foot in front of the other. I’ve been told to sit down and read my book.
