Merchant of Venice 1936

This is the set for the RSC Merchant of Venice1936 performed in Malvern Festival Theatre this afternoon.  The theatre filled up after I took the shot. The production was interspersed with extracts from fascist news reels from 1936.  Shylock was female. And the whole performance was completed in 2 hours including a 20 minute interval!  Amazing!  Need to think about it all - especially the ending.

After that we went to see Rob's  brother's new kitchen and we were the first visitors to have a meal in the new kitchen.  All very tasty.

Difficult journey home in darkness and pouring rain with lots of lorries on the motorway.
