Last day in St Ives
It's our last day in St Ives and it has rained and rained and rained. Having said that; it's actually been quite warm today, so my human hasn't needed to wear her warm & cosy dry robe as a coat. She's just worn her anorak, and has been soaked through on all of my walks.
I've been down on the beach in the rain, twice today and on my afternoon walk I found a brand new tennis ball. Obviously I carried it all the way home.
When I find a ball, (when I get home), I always lie and 'guard it' for about half an hour. Mmmmm................ this afternoon after I returned from my afternoon walk, Ann's friends, Steve & Simon (& the naughty little Pugs) turned up for a bottle of Prosecco. …........The humans obv, because Pugs & Collie's don't drink Prosecco. Lol!!
Tom (or was it Ollie) went straight into my toy bucket and started playing with my toys. I didn't mind that, though I wasn't too keen when Ollie (or was it Tom) tried to steal balls out of my 'manky old balls' box.
….............And then Ann tried to take a photo of us but Tom (or was it Ollie) jumped up onto the chair and Ollie (or was it Tom) wouldn't pose for the photo shoot.
It's been absolutely horrible today. Winter has most definitely arrived in Ives and Ann's not looking forward to driving zillions of miles tomorrow to North Derbyshire where I will be having a sleepover with Alfie, the Beardie, but that's what happens when we decide to own homes in opposite ends of the country.
Google maps is telling us that it'll take us 5 hrs 59 mins to drive to Ann's sister's in Derbyshire. And that's the road conditions now without any breaks. …...........And there's still mega long hold ups on the A30 and that's before we even reach any motorways. Oh and that's not even taking into account what ''Storm Babet' will be doing tomorrow.
Wish us luck peeps!!!
