High Street Blues

It’s a great shame that this shop is having to close.  It’s been in business for about 15 years. 
 
Their delivery van was written off following a crash with a Milton Keynes councillor who was driving on a provisional licence with no insurance.

The florist has lost business because of the delays in the insurance claim, which means they’ve had to give up the shop.  They’re hoping to be able to run the business from home in the future.  

Not long after we moved here, Anniemay spotted a weeping fig plant (Ficus Benjamina) in the shop window.  It’s grown into a magnificent specimen (she blipped it here).  An impulse buy - not something easily done with a business run from home.

If you’re wondering which political party the other driver represents, it’s the same colour as the shop.
