Morning

This is our kitchen at 6.30 this morning. I’m looking out of the window at the sunrise, and Jess is reflected (several times!) in the double glazing.

One of the things I’ve always liked about our house is that it faces east. We can track the seasons by following the sunrise from the left (northeast horizon) in June, through to the right (southeast horizon) in December and then all the way back again. In March and September the sun rises in the east, behind the big conker tree. Sunrise this morning was at 7.47, at 105 degrees ESE.

A busy day in the cafe today- lots of families as it is the October school holidays for the next two weeks. I made a lot of luxury hot chocolates!
