The River Charente at Cognac

We went into Cognac for a medical appointment this morning. I enjoy going there as it’s such a nice drive on the road from Saintes. It’s quite a busy road but there are vineyards either side which go on for miles, and the views are lovely. Luckily I wasn’t driving so I could admire the scenery! We stopped for coffee, and were home by 11.30
The afternoon was spent doing battle with the ivy again until I was too tired to continue. Mr F meanwhile went back to hedge cutting.
