Strong as auburn hair,
The flame of love burns brightly,
For both child and man.

The process of growing up seems to go on forever and then all of sudden, bam, you realise your child has turned into an adult! It's exciting to see the people your children become, while still being the child you knew and nurtured. And I suppose it works the other way with your parents.

Years ago, the loss of his mother hit my Dad very hard and he became a motherless child, even though he was in his 70's and she was 101.

That child is eternally within all of us, which is as it should be.
