San Carlos de Bariloche

Today we flew from Buenos Aires to San Carlos de Bariloche, a very picturesque town at the foot of the Andes. You might not be surprised to hear that the flight was delayed.

The main event today was taking a chairlift to a high viewing point, from which I took this photo.  Chocolate-boxy that it is, it was none the less a spectacular view, with the snow on the mountains and the blues of the lake and sky.

The last stop for the day's activities was a brewery and smoke house. The beer drinkers loved being treated to three different craft beers and they even had a glass of red for me. The smoked fare included salmon, tuna, wild boar and venison, plus some pickled things and dips. It was delicious.

My extra is the view out of the plane window at about half way of the 2+ hours flight.

Thanks for all your visits.
