CT scan at 1am. Noisy night, got little sleep. One woman on ward spend whole day talking, didn’t get any sleep. IV antibiotics all day. Doc gave me choice to stay in and continue IV abs or go home with tabs. Went home a) cos no cover for Dad from 7pm, b) couldn’t face another sleepless night/day. Nurse said I shouldn’t be looking after Dad, I was unwell and should have someone looking after me. If only. Meds took so long to arrive I missed the chance for a lift home so took taxi and got home 7pm. Feel like I’m living through some sort of surreal nightmare...
