Communication

Thanks to Laurie54 for hosting this month.
A piece of everyday architecture. Something we see - but don’t see - all the time.
The cabinet along the front main road that houses all the Openreach network cables. It struck me how everyday essential objects like this connect us all together.

Just this morning the solicitor rang to say we have now exchanged house sale contracts. So that call was probably ‘routed’ through this box of cables and the paperwork and emails that we’ve had about it all, likewise routed through the broadband network. Clever isn’t it?

And halfway through the day my bestie Nicoiseannie messaged to say could I witness the signature on her house purchase contracts, so she came over and we had a chat and cuppa at the same time.

I moved vacuuming the living room floor up the ’to-do’ list in honour of my visitor this afternoon, although as she’s also a dog owner, there is no pressure :-)
