My squirrels are on strike

I mentioned a month or so ago that I’d bought some feeders from Lidl.

They were cheap. They were metal and I was fed up of the squirrels wrecking the others because they chewed through the plastic so the expensive sunflower hearts fell on the floor.

I tried different feeders to fool the squirrels. They just get better at chewing, and learning how to twist their agile bodies in to strange positions to get at the food.

I blipped them looking stupid.

Nothing worked.

Until I found the squirrel proof cage in Lidl. Green metal. Easy for me to open, but apparently beyond the wit of the Squizzers. 

I snapped up two……and they didn’t reappear.

Today I found a flashy one in Aldi.
A flashy purple one that goes nicely with the Cosmos. £4.99………

And I can’t put down “Lessons in Chemistry”…..more hours frivolously wasted reading, and laughing out loud !
