National Motor Museum, Turin

Today we caught the metro and visited the motor museum. Another great collection and too many cars to photograph. The pink Fiat 500 from 1959 was my favourite and good to compare with the Fiat 500 from 1936.

After the museum we headed to the former Fiat factory to visit the test track on the roof (seen in The Italian Job). You can now test an electric Fiat ( one day a week). There is now a garden there too and some fab art.

In the evening, the waitress serving us was ‘mugged’ . A guy tried to pull off her gold chain from around her neck. Much shouting followed and the guy was chased along the street. Police arrived, took a statement and smoked cigarettes before we were served our delicious meal.
