A little brightness yet

Still a little brightness in the garden, but the first frosts will put an end to that!

Another beautiful day, but definitely colder now.  The autumn colours in the town are developing very nicely, but a few windy days will see the end of that too.

We have had a laid back kind of day today.  After church we had a leisurely lunch reading the papers, although I don't know why we did as the news is particularly bad.  The Israeli/Gaza conflict is very concerning, and so many innocent people on both sides are being killed.

Bob did a little DIY in the downstairs toilet, and I pottered.  Had a short local walk, but that is the stretch of it. 

Have made a casserole for dinner, with some home made soup as a starter.  I had made some Tomato, Chickpea and comin soup from one of my sister's recipes and it froze well, so we are having the last of it tonight.  Looking forward to Cali arriving, home now from Switzerland last night and I should imagine she will have some stories to tell.
