An evergreen shrub also known as Mexican orange due to the similarity of their flowers.


 I dashed outside between showers this afternoon and found this cluster of flowers lit by momentary sunshine. It’s been a day of unsettled weather.


This morning many New Zealanders watched a nail-biting Rugby World Cup quarter final  between the All Blacks and Ireland. Only a few points separated the teams with the AB’s win taking them to the next round. (28-24)

Yesterday NZ went to the polls for the country’s general election. It is a change of government for us with National - Act preparing to lead our country through the next three years to the next general election in 2026.
