Patron Saint
The entire day was rainy and gray. Our guests had to leave by 7:30 am. They have a 26 hour trip ahead of them including travel to the airport and from Frankfurt to their home town of Wurgassen. We got up early and prepared breakfast. Saying farewell is always hard. After we cleaned the kitchen, we headed to the Rec room and simply relaxed until lunch. Today is granddaughter Abby’s 20th birthday so everyone sent her wishes. We headed to town to shop for the neighbor’s birthday gift and a few spices. Hubby and I went to 4:00 pm Mass. The church we attend is St. Francis Xavier. This is their stained glass window in his honor. With the rain, I took no other photos. We have one more shopping stop before dinner. Friends have suggested a new restaurant; it may be an adventure. We are taking the day off tomorrow as well. Sending wishes for a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for visiting my journal. Be safe. “The better friends you are, the straighter you can talk, but while you are only on nodding terms, be slow to scold.” - St. Francis Xavier
