In honor of

At Santa Maria del Giogo in the mountains above Polaveno and Sulzano there is a beautifull spot with a monument for the fallen soldiers.

The plaque says:
"Those who were torn away from mother's embrace and became soldiers to serve the fatherland will cover by the coat of the madonna of the Alpini"

I don't think it is quite right translated. Forgive me!
