Newquay Headland
After breakfast we headed into Newquay for a walk out to the Town Headland in the main blip and on to Fistral beach, where there was a surfing competition in progress. As you can see, the weather was bright but breezy and bracing.
The extras show a perky stonechat on the Headland, a view of Fistral beach from the headland and a zoom shot of some of the surfers at the far end of the beach, take from the same spot. The competition was at the near end.
From the beach we walked back along the coast path to the harbour for a spot of lunch in a cafe, then headed back to scout out one or two of the places we want to go to when Kate, Joel and Sophie join us.
Just had a lazy couple of hours back at the lodge reading and keeping up to date with Yeovil’s excellent 2 0 FA Cup win at home to Southend, who have been doing well in the League above us.
