Doorway

Up early this morning –well, at about the time I would have been setting off for work not long ago – to grab a sunrise silhouette of this tree on the bank of the local reservoir.  But it's too early in the year for the sun to rise behind the tree, so I got what I could.

In the Extra, a drone shot of the same tree, showing the slight misalignment of sun and tree.  While I was there, another chap showed me a strange device with which he was going to look for sun spots: a Dwarf II telescope that looked like a video game controller.
