The first signs of autumn?

I wonder if autumn is finally arriving or whether the changing colour is more about lack of water. It has been in the high 20s again and I think maybe this year we may go straight from summer to winter! The morning was taken up with a church council meeting with a long agenda. We covered a lot of ground and all was very positive until our treasurer gave notice that she would be stepping down. As there is no-one from our small and ageing congregation who could replace her, we now have a big headache. I wrote up the minutes after the meeting and then went to tennis training which was a good way to forget about such things.
