River of Flowers

Thursday: Bardsey Island Apple …

… which someone has been nibbling! Last of our very small crop this year, plenty of pollinators around when tree was in flower but we had a very dry Spring and in early June I had to take drastic action - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3112128827107576106 - I think we ended up with about a dozen apples of a reasonable size. Maybe next year will bring weather closer to Normal ?

Felt decidedly chilly at breakfast time, around 13°C but sunny and dry … an improvement on last few days! Today’s photo of the blue sky as there’s a weather warning for tomorrow :-((

MrD went off into the mountains on his motorbike and had a fun day! I pulled a few more bits of ivy from the long narrow garden and pulled up some variegated bamboo which had grown into the path - potted it up for a gardening friend :-)

After lunch I started cutting back the hydrangea and giant scabious and scraped moss off the path along the top garden, I’ll finish pruning the buddleia when the green bin has been emptied.

Very chilly this evening, brrr - heating on and watched “From Time to Time” free on YouTube - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Time_to_Time_(film)

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
