Stray Dog (1949)

As discussed before, the nature of blipping, should give you greater awareness to look around, behind that fence, into the long grass, down that void, and most importantly to remember to look up !

This statue was unveiled in February, but I have only noticed it recently. !

There is plaque, already worn to the point that it is difficult to read, so I provide the text below...

"My usual way home was over Blackfriars Bridge and down that turning in the Blackfriars Road which has Rowland Hill's chapel on one side, and the likeness of a golden dog licking a golden pot over a shop door on the other."
