Another Nameless Gale

A wild day of gales, showers and sunny spells.

Up early, got ready for work.  A 10-10 late shift in the airport.   A day meeting and boarding flights, all in and out on time, even early for some, very minor delays for others.  Every time I was out on the apron, the heavens opened and soaked me.  It stayed dry for walkies with Sammy tonight.  Feet up now.

The gales have battered us all day, even a bad car crash involving a trailer in the wind, hopefully all OK.  A wild gale blowing from the west, which was good for our main runway, making takeoff and landing possible.  Various passengers said the flights were bumpy.  Thankfully we got all our passengers away, we didn't have the backup of the ferry today, it was cancelled due to the wind.  As gales are common up here, this gale/storm has gone unnamed.  Taken on lunch break, at Sand of Hayes, Sumburgh.
