one day in France

Misty

The early mist burned off quite quickly as I walked Elvis, and we got another hot sunny day. We haven’t been outside much, and all hedge cutting has ceased, as we’ve been plagued with mosquitoes and get bitten as soon as we step outside the door.
It’s a real problem here and the village website tells us they are taking measures to get the situation under control, whatever that means! There are also a lot of shield bugs about and three dropped onto me at various times this evening as we went to a friend’s house for apéros.
They are celebrating the birth of a new baby granddaughter, named Ophelia, and rather a lot of pink fizz was consumed!
