Matakauri Wetlands …..

….. ….. ….. on the floor of the gorge, which wends it’s way from Coronet Peak in the far distance, down to Queenstown itself.
Those cliffs on the right are sheer. I don’t think I’ve achieved how imposing they really are in this image.

Missy loved our walk around the wetlands and was then very patient while I did a quick shop in Queenstown and then had lunch with my daughter at Five Mile, near Frankton.

Hazel & her Dad are flying back home tomorrow! The excitement is building!
