* at East Sydney Doctors Gallery to see a photo exhibition in what turned out to be not a former doctors’ surgery but an actual surgery where you step around patients in the waiting room
* across the road to the National Art School to see an exhibition of large abstract landscapes and have a wander through the grounds
* wait for a casual lunch in a Japanese restaurant
* to read the instructions for the smart toilet (Toto), still traditionally located past the kitchen, down the steps and follow the hand-written signs
* to get a takeaway treat for K’s friend who’s in hospital
* parking at the hospital entrance, if you’d driven.
