Thanks for the memories

As the saying goes people come into our lives for a reason. I truly believe it was meant to be that we became such good friends. Mr and Mrs HCB are amazingly wonderfully supportive. Always happy to talk and listen to thoughts of Mum and David, and many other elements of life. I am truly grateful that our paths on this phase of our journey converged. 

They came today to take me for lunch for my birthday which isn't until Thursday. It was lovely to see Mrs HCB so much better than just a month ago. Walking better, laughing and smiling. I also love to see the banter between her and Mr HCB (and sometimes we do gang up on her)!

It was really lovely food and company. I got my ears well and truly licked today by two miniature schnauzers on the way in and the most adorable 10 week old puppy on the way out. 

Beau escaped this morning. Jo opened the door and he came out to see me! She started to chase him and he ran and was ready to build up speed. Thankfully she was so stressed and couldn't watch she went into the kitchen, and I slowly walked in but with him able to see me. He didn't have his collar on so nothing to grab on to. Encouraged him onto her front lawn and almost safe. He did his downward dog let's play pose, and he will run after me from there, so I went inside and he duly followed. My heart was going ten to the dozen and I could hear Jo inside saying I'm going to have a heart attack. I was also pleased that she didn't shout at him or hit him on the nose or bum, and told her that was a good thing that she didn't chase him or get cross with him.
