Towering over Tokyo

A lovely day in the heart of Tokyo today! I spent it wandering the streets with my camera and taking in the Imperial palace and a visit to Tokyo Tower. Unfortunately the palace was closed to visitors (except for same day tours which I wasn't prepared to sit in the baking sunlight and humidity to wait to take part in) but the tower was brilliant. Amazing views over the city and it still blows me away just how colossal Tokyo is.

I also went to Shibuya but I have to admit, I was underwhelmed. Compared to what you see in movies or TV it's actually a lot smaller and there's not much else to do except shopping. 

I'm prepared to admit that I've likely missed some highlights around the area though!
