Sweet pea pod

I could have sworn sweet pea pods were edible but my research said no. Further digging suggested one can eat them when they are very young like the one in my photo. Given everything, I'm leaving them and their gorgeous flowers in the garden. Plenty of other green veg about. 

Edible or not, this tiny sweet pea pod from our garden is the fruit of the plant.
