Messy

The morning seemed to pass by quickly.  MrMacD received an email from the solar company to let us know that the inspector will come tomorrow at an undetermined time.  I received a call from my friend in Napier and we had a nice chat.  Then we walked into town to  knock some items off the Reminder list.  Whilst out MrMacD received a call from our plumber to say he’d come up and take out the wood burner this afternoon.  We headed back home for cheese and apples and were just having our coffee when Tom turned up.  In no time at all he had the flue down, which left a gaping hole in the roof.  Fortunately, MrMacD had found a couple of pieces of roofing under the house and Tom brought some with him, so the roof was quickly repaired.  Now there’s just a hole in the ceiling.  Tom went home to get his sack trolley so he could move the wood burner, which only left the heavy piece of metal it had been standing on.  He managed to carry that down to the garage all by himself.  Now it looks as though a wood burner was never there and we’ve been able to move the dining table further back into the room, giving us more space between the table and the French doors.  Another ball has landed!
