Day 14, Lanheses

Breakfast out at the local cafe - coffee and a pasta de Nate.
Wander the village a bit and stop for an expresso. Pick up the chicken, ribs and bread for our picnic lunch. Down towards the green area by the river. Picnic, and blip.
After the picnic we feel the need for coffee and pick a third cafe to sit and socialise in.
Now back to the river for a swim. Deliciously cool water, stand and talk, swim, chat more, swim. A strong current today so swim madly upstream and in a few seconds drift back to the conversation.
Back home for a delightful evening of talking, drinking, and yet more eating.
Tomorrow we leave and head south to our final destination in Alentejo, so we are a little reluctant to end this day and go to bed. We’ve had a great time in Lanheses with our friends and are already planning a return next spring!
