Something not right...

- about an empty beach in June.

I'm slapping this photo in quick before my Macbook conks again. After its flooding incident 3+ weeks ago, it started to work again on Monday morning. But it keeps going into sleep mode and not letting me back in and it's whirring loudly all the time. Tonight it started to corrupt the files of my photos and wouldn't let me upload my blipfoto of choice.

So this photo is, by default, chosen by my ailing Macbook.

After a night of rain everything looked and smelled lovely and bright. The clouds were really beautiful. I prefer a bit of cloud to a full blue sky. Despite being fairly warm and mostly sunny all afternoon, there was hardly anyone on the beach, and those who were there were not families with little kids spending some time - they were mostly walkers. It's weird. I guess there are lots of reasons for this. One being the weather forecast probably convinced people to make other plans for the day. I think another may be that it's just getting too expensive here for ordinary people. And of course the government is getting stricter about parents taking their children on holiday on term time. No reason why the parents of under 5s can't be holidaying though.
Staying and eating out here have become really expensive though. Even the carpark is £8 on a sunny day.
Bring back cheap bucket and spade holidays and down-to-earth pub-grub, I say!
And let people go on holiday with their little ones in June, you silly education peeps.
