Feed the birds
Today we return to Bakewell to take in the sights.
After we park the car we walk over the iron bridge which is adorned with hundreds of padlocks and we are entertained by a busker.
As we walk along the river bank we see lots of people sitting eating fish and chips in the sunshine, further along we come across this gentleman feeding the numerous birds (Stanley was beside his self). Looking down into the water also feeding were huge brown trout.
We meander up and down little streets taking in the views before heading back into the town centre.
Then it’s time for some refreshments so we drop into the Red Lion glass of wine for me and Mr PC has a pint of Timothy Taylors, the doggies have a bowl of water and they share a packet of crisps.
By this time we are feeling a bit peckish and the smell from the chip shop is so enticing. We head back to the river clutching our fish and chips (battered sausage for the boys).
All in all a very pleasant day.
I’ve added a couple of collages from our day.
