The Blue Hour

I often thought I could probably walk to the swimming pool with my eyes closed, so often have I done it over the last 18 months.  Well it’s now getting to the time of year where some parts of the walk are almost pitch black, though it was soon lightening into the blue hour before the dawn.

This church is flooded with sodium light, fixed to the lamppost and made a great colour contrast to the sky.  The moon is now waning to crescent and a new moon is not too far away.  As we are heading off for a few days, if the weather plays ball, it might be possible to enjoy some astrophotography.
